If you are lucky enough to follow me on twitter, LOL, then you know that Rob and I just took a quick overnight trip to LA. We went to see the Violent Femmes perform at the Orpheum Theatre. Now I remember listening to the cd Violent Femmes so many times when Rob and I were first together in the 80’s and of course hearing some of their music in different movies and such. So to get the opportunity to see them live was something Rob and I did not want to pass up. So we drove the 4.5 – 5 hours to Los Angeles to see them. Let me just say, the show did NOT disappoint!!!
Rob and I got the privilege of watching the show from the side of the stage. It was spectacular and Rob and I were dancing the entire time. I loved that Gordon, the lead singer surprised everyone by singing “My Old Kentucky Home”!! And to top it all off, we got to hang out with the band after the show with the band. Friendships have their benefits sometimes and this was one.. Thanks again John, we had a fantastic evening.
Now we are looking forward to our next event on the calendar.. a trip to FL with my family in early June. I truly hope your spring and summer are going to be as wonderful as ours..

It sounds like an amazing weekend that started with a beautiful wedding and ended with an awesome night listening to good music. A weekend surrounded by good people and close friends. *hugs*
