Pumpkin Spice Oreo Truffles

Pumpkin Spice Oreo Truffle

Ok, I made these for Thanksgiving and I have tried one.  Let me just say, they are delicious!!  I’m sharing the recipe with you, although I’m not sure if you will be able to find the oreos now.  I’m going to be looking for more of them as I loved these..

  • 1 bag Pumpkin Spice Oreos
  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 16 oz white chocolate morsels, candy coating, or vanilla almond bark
  • Orange sprinkles for topping, optional (I used crushed graham crackers)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos until finely ground using a food processor or rolling pin. Add softened cream cheese, broken up into chunks; process/mix until well blended.
  2. Chill the dough in the fridge for at least 45 minutes to firm it up and make it easier to roll into balls.
  3. Roll the chilled dough into 1or 1 and ½” balls and set them on wax paper a cookie sheet. Freeze the truffles for another 30 minutes.
  4. Melt white chocolate in the microwave or double broiler (only do 15-30 seconds at a time if using the microwave so as not to scorch it, stirring each time you take the bowl out).
  5. Dip balls in melted white chocolate using a spoon or two forks to coat thoroughly; place on wax paper-covered baking sheet. Sprinkle the sprinkles on top before chocolate hardens, optional.
  6. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
  7. Store leftover truffles, covered, in refrigerator.

I used to love white chocolate as a kid. We had an uncle who would bring us bags of white chocolate from Germany when he would go visit family.
